Presidential Election on 23rd September 2018
Invitation to International Observers to Observe the Presidential Election 2018
Elections Commission of the Maldives has declared the Election Day for the Presidential Election 2018 to be 23rd of September 2018 (Sunday) and we are opening an election observation mission to International Observers to participate in observing this election.
The purpose is to create the opportunity for the International observers to observe the Elections Commission’s compliance with the Presidential Election Act and Regulation as well as international best practices, procedures, protocols and methods applied by the Commission on the day of the Election.
Elections Commission believes that this will determine a free fair and inclusive election. It is our objective, that the presence of International Observers will determine the clarity of this election.
Therefore, interested parties are advised to download the application forms via Elections Commission website http://elections.gov.mv, and submit the applications to [email protected]. The deadline for the submission is 14th August 2018.
